After more than 20 years as the owner of Glamourisme, a renowned mobile glamour photography service, I had the privilege of working with countless women, helping them look and feel their best for special occasions and professional photo shoots. Throughout my career, I noticed a significant shift in the beauty landscape—social media platforms like Instagram were revolutionizing how women approached makeup. Women of all ages were increasingly turning to Instagram for makeup inspiration and tutorials.
While this trend democratized beauty and made information more accessible, it also introduced new challenges. Many of my clients, despite diligently following these online tutorials, struggled to replicate the looks.
The makeup often appeared overly dramatic or unsuitable for their unique features and daily lives. It became clear to me that there was a growing need for personalized, hands-on guidance in the beauty industry. Women were eager to learn and perfect makeup techniques, but they lacked the professional expertise to tailor these trends to their individual needs. This realization was the catalyst for my new venture.
